Vandria Borari, artist-in-residence during CULTURESCAPES 2021 Amazonia in cooperation with ateliermondial and labverde  exhibited works she created during her residency in Basel: Her installation "Ancestral Resistance" was part of the exhibition "The Others - Traces of Colonialism" at kasko_basel.

What role does the colonial legacy play in aesthetic practice? Twelve artists explored this question and created this group exhibition.
The exhibition goes beyond the mere revisiting the colonial contexts. It asks more fundamental questions about the role of perspective in constituting one's personal worldview and encourages to consciously perceive and challenge one's own context and its influence on this perspective.
